Named after Zebulon B. Vance, the North Carolina governor during the
Civil War, Zebulon has attracted worldwide companies like
GlaxoSmithKline, U.S. Food Services Inc., Nomaco and Nomacorc.
Zebulon is located at the easternmost edge of Wake County on Highway
64, about 30 minutes from Raleigh.
This town of 4,100 residents is also home to the Carolina Mudcats, a

Southern League. During the summer, Mudcats home games are played in
the 7,000-seat Five County Stadium, a newly renovated facility
co-owned by Wake County and the Town of Zebulon.
