In 1990, about 1,000 people lived in Holly Springs. Today, nearly
13,000 call the town home, making it one of the fastest-growing
towns in North Carolina. In the next five years, the town's
population is expected to double.
Growth has brought exciting development opportunities to the town,
including a new park behind the elementary school (Jones Park), two
new pharmacies, grocery stores, a new town hall, a small shopping
center, new restaurants, a medical center and updates to the
industrial park. Citizens are looking forward to a new library and
cultural arts center and a new high school in coming years, to be
funded by a recently passed countywide bond referendum. Holly
Springs already has its own elementary school and middle school.
The community is just 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh and 30
minutes from RDU Airport. |
