Voted #10 in the country as “Best Affordable
Suburb” by Business Week, Hilliard
is a farm town that can kiss its bucolic past good-bye. Growth
is descending upon it from
Dublin, its rich neighbor to the north, and
already the effects are being felt. With nice stores at the
Mill Run Mall and the Mall at Tuttle Crossing in the
Dublin area, quality
shopping is nearby.
House hunters, especially first-time home buyers
have a greater choice of homes in the subdivisions that have been
springing up. At present, the high priced homes tend to be in
the arm of Hilliard that extends to the
Scioto
River.
Norwich Township supplies fire protection, but
Hilliard has its own police department. The City elects a
mayor and a seven-member city council.
