Grandview Heights is an older suburb close to downtown and The Ohio
State University. It has a strong sense of identity and a diverse
mix of housing from older two-story frame house to luxury high-rise
condominiums, and big, old mansions with architectural interest on
hilly, wooded lots.
It is a city
of neighborhoods rather than subdivisions. Very little is new in
Grandview but the old has been well kept. With almost no strip
shopping, Grandview nevertheless has a busy commercial district that
includes gourmet restaurants, a movie theater, an excellent public
library and most other amenities.
Its residents
are as diverse as its housing, but as in Bexley, there is a solid
core of long-term citizens who wouldn’t call anywhere else home. |
