Beyond the outer belt,
on the very southeastern edge of Franklin County, is Canal
Winchester. It is on the very rim of the Columbus sprawl but has
access to the downtown. There is still some rural property
available with acreage but new suburbs are popping up all over this
area.
Citizens of Canal Winchester elect a
mayor and a six-member council. The town has its own police
department but fire protection is provided by Madison Township. |
