Established in 1896, along the lines of the Atlanta-Westpoint
Railway, the center of this historic City is the historic Main
Street business district.
As Georgia's fourth largest National Register District, College Park
is using historic preservation as an economic development tool to
revitalize its historic town center. Designated a Georgia Main
Street City in 1999, this community of 20,000 residents is once
again embracing downtown as the cultural commercial center of the
city.
Located at the heart of four major transportation systems -
Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, MARTA rapid transit,
interstate highways and a railway - College Park's Main Street
District serves as the gateway to Georgia's global city.
